Tagaytay Escapade

It has been a while. Yeah, I must say a very long while and so many things happened in those months and I guess years that have gone. Any how, for a breather we made a DIY escape to the famous Tagaytay. I always have loved Tagaytay, I have fond memories of horse back riding with my Dad, that chilly weather and of course eating Bulalo with the family.

We stayed at View Park Hotel. Literally just right in front or just across People's Park Tagaytay. We booked a Premier Room for an over night stay complete with complimentary buffet breakfast. We booked online through Agoda.com to safe us from the hassle and checking in was a breeze! The only problem that we had is that we didn't know that the check-in time was at 2pm so we had to wait for a couple of hours first to check-in but other than that we did not encountered any problems. :)

Our day 1 was a little off since we were tired from the journey. After checking-in we took a little nap and off we went for a late lunch. We ended up at Mang Inasal for their unlimited rice cuz we were very hungry and for dessert we decided to try the famous Bag of Beans near the Tagaytay Rotunda (nearest branch) that we know.

We tried Bag of Bean's famous Blueberry Cheesecake and Kapeng Barako since I don't drink Coffee I settled with my cheesecake instead. :) After having our mouths and tummies full we headed out to our next destination. Sky Ranch Tagaytay!

Sky Ranch Amusement Park

We Tried all the rides here and since I got a promo from Metrodeal although there were many people in line the claiming of tickets was a breeze, We stayed there till 9pm and had dinner at Tokyo Tokyo.

Day 2.

Our Day started with a yummy buffet spread courtesy of the hotel. We reserved for a seat just in case the banquet hall got full and stuffed ourselves to the brink! When we got back to our room we took another nap (lol) and rest to let all the foods go down. We had an early check-out to visit Calaruega Church. It was a little farther from the Tagaytay proper, as far as I can remember we took a bus routing to Batangas just to get to Calaruega and you have to hike up a hill to this place or hire a pedicab or tricycle driver to get you there.

Calaruega Church

The place is also a Retreat Center and Dominican Monastery so people are advised not to speak and talk loudly. Calaruega is very peaceful and siren. :) After our hike and picture taking, we contacted the pedicab driver who brought us to take us back down from Calaruega. We paid him 100.00 all in all. Not bad right?

After the hike, we rode a bus back to Tagaytay proper and ate back again at Bag of Beans. We were supposed to eat at Rowena's but they were under construction. After eating we went to get our things from the hotel and rode back to Manila... :(

It was a really quick getaway but worth all the hassle. I wished that we stayed longer in Tagaytay though. There is so much to see here but of course so little time. I wish get back here soon.
