An overnight vacation at Laiya Batangas: Laluz Beach Resort

Our Family had a recent over night vacation at the small town of San Juan, Batangas. I was searching frantically for weeks on where to go since I haven't had a vacation for months and happened to stumble on a blog which featured La Luz Beach Resort. So I made the reservations, emailed them and got a quick response from my the reservation specialist named Sunshine. :)

At 5am we rode a taxi to Cubao  where the bus stations were and took the ALPS bus. Fare was 180 and 150 I believe for students. We thought that since we got there early we would be able to arrive at Batangas early but boy we were wrong. ALPS route was city to city (meaning lahat ng probinsya ng batangas dadaanan) Well, we were still able to get there around quarter to 10am in the morning. The conductor told us to get down from their station and just ride a jeepney from there. So, we decided to have some breakfast first and rode a jeep as instructed and asked the driver to bring us to LaLuz. The fare costs us 40php each and according to the driver Laluz was at the end of the route.

We got to Laluz by 11 and since our room was still not available, we were instructed to sit by the gazebo over looking the beach and enjoy the scenery while the house keeping team of the resort prepared our room.

Laluz Rooms

My sister maybe taking photos or adjusting her camera ( the backround here are the different rooms)

At exactly around 12pm we were told that our room was available. We availed the Standard room. It cost us 3,360php for an overnight stay. It has 2 beds (one is a pull out underneath the other) It was spacious with aircon. We had our own bathroom, shower room and balcony. Sorry if the photo doesn't do justice. Was not able to take photos since I this was a vacation I napped right after lunch and didn't care of taking any pictures.

My dad decided to take pictures of his own from the balcony of our room

With our room package we availed of their buffet meals which costs around 1,350php (if I remembered it correctly its around 1,300-1350) 1,350.00 includes the lunchbuffet, merienda buffet, dinner buffet and breakfast buffet including all drinks for our overnight stay.

Mom and my sister

The buffet was not that extragavant but yummy never the less. :)

After lunch we decided to take a stroll along the beach and explore. Laluz beach have amazing rock formations by the end of the shore.
and my dad decided to climb this rock. So we did.

after climbing the rock. We also managed to see more rock formations on the other side. So we decided to take some pictures too.

So we got to see this:

partnered with the beautiful clouds :)

We enjoyed the beach! My mom and I swam, enjoyed the waves, took pictures, and made sand/pebble castles. Laluz isn't a sandy beach. Laluz beach is made up of crushed and dead sea corals and pebbles.
Here is an up close photo

After enjoying the beach, we had a warm shower and got ready for dinner.

Laluz lighted up their resort for dinner. It was so beautiful!

I was also surprised for their dinner selection. It was the yummiest for me. They had selections of pasta, barbequed pork ribs, cream dory, rice, corbon bleu, steamed vegetables,
selections of fruits, fruit salad, chocololate puto, unlimited iced tea. Nom!!!!!!!

After that heavy breakfast the four of us had a goodnight sleep and were ready for the day after.

Good morning Laluz!

We woke up at exactly 6.00 am to stroll around the other side of the beach.

After taking photos. We had our heavy and hearty breakfast before leaving the resort took the jeep back to Alps terminal and back to Manila.

 Our breakfast Menu

All in all I would say that I enjoyed my laluz stay and I believe my family had fun and got refreshed as well. It was a nice bonding for us and also a short escape from work and the busy city.

I am thankful that I was able to book here in this resort and would surely recommend to others who would want a quick getaway from the busy city.
